One of CFNC’s favourite speakers is Carol Hall. We are lucky to have her as the guest speaker for the March 2018 meeting. Her talk is titled Why is south-west Western Australia’s ecology so special? Carol undertook a wildflower tour of this part of the country in spring 2016. She says, ‘I have taken as the basis for the talk the huge areas of granite in the south-west, their geomorphology and the resulting number of micro-habitats both in the arid interior and along the wetter south coast’.
Prior to Carol’s talk, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will also be held.
As per usual, the evening’s proceedings will commence at 7.30pm in the Fellowship Room behind the Uniting Church on Lyttleton St, Castlemaine. Members and visitors are all welcome, and there is no charge for attendance. We hope to see you there, and also stay around for a cup of tea and a chat afterwards. Friday 9th March.
