30 May 2015 – CFNC Roadside Clean-up

The Castlemaine Field Naturalists Club have been keeping a section of the Pyrenees Hwy roadside clear of rubbish for many years.  This roadside contains some important woodland habitat, with many large hollow-bearing trees and a diverse range of understorey plants.  The club is sending a call out to members and supporters to help with the next clean-up on Saturday 30 May 2015.

Meet from 9am at the corner of Willy Nilly Rd and Pyerenees Hwy (outside the Taits Decorative Iron workshop), which is about 5km out of central Castlemaine on the way towards Newstead.  It should take about an hour or so, or less time with more people.

    1. Nah. I don’t reckon they exist there anymore. When I went looking the other day in this area, there were none – despite being accompanied some one of the best Swifty gurus this side of Chiltern.
